Austin Winterbottom
Dates: British, 1860 - 1919
Biographical Account: Austin Winterbottom (1860-1919) was born and lived in Sheffield, the son of Alexander Winterbottom, electroplate bronzer of stoves, grates and fenders. Austin studied at the Sheffield School of Art between 1874 and 1887. He exhibited with and was the President of the Sheffield Society of Artists, and a member of the Heeley Art Club.
