Thomas Furniss

Biographical Account: Thomas Furniss of Sheffield developed from a drysalting business, to a salt, clay, sand, brick, lime and cement merchant. In 1918, the company owned a small mine at Bradwell, mining florspar and byrites, and by 1977 they specialised in fertilisers.
