Biographical Account: Rowland Ward Ltd was a taxidermy company set up in London by James Rowland Ward in around 1872.  The company specialised in big game and is widely considered as one of the best practitioners of the art.  The founder was James Rowland Ward (1848 - 1912).  He came from a family of taxidermists, working with his father and brother in his early years.  Rowland Ward supplied museums with first class taxidermy up until the company folded shortly after the second world war.
