Biographical Account: Edmund John Niemann (1813-1876) was born in Islington, London. He later moved to High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. He painted landscapes, sporting subjects and marine scenes. Between 1844 and 1872, he exhibited at the Royal Academy, the British Institute, and the Society of British Artists.
