John Henry Le Keux
Dates: British, 1812 - 1896
Biographical Account: Le Keux was an engraver, illustrator and draughtsman whose work included generally included topographical landscape and architectural subjects. He was trained by his father, John Le Keux who was also an engraver. John Ruskin  particularly admired Le Keux's engravings and used him to engrave a number of plates for his books. He also employed him to train his assistant and later publisher, George Allen to engrave plates for his books.
