Victoria Kershaw completed her degree in design at Liverpool Hope University, before studying for her MA at the Royal College of Art, London. Following her studies, she worked with a number of highly renowned designers, including Keith Tyssen, Chris Knight and Maria Hanson. She then entered the Starter Studio programme at Yorkshire ArtSpace. This is a two year programme for young silversmiths, giving them access to subsidised studio space, a fully equipped shared workshop, a career mentor and the opportunity to exhibit work and undertake commissions.
Victoria has received a number of important prizes for her work. They include a Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths Bursary (2003-04), the New Designers 'One Year On' Award (2005), Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths Silver Award for the design of a finished piece (2006) and The Association of British Designer-Silversmiths Argex Award (2006). Her work has been included in exhibitions in Britain, Europe and the United States.
