Chris Knight is currently a Senior Lecturer in Silversmithing and Jewellery at Sheffield Hallam University. After graduating from Sheffield City Polytechnic, Chris worked in the United States as a Designer/Goldsmith. He then returned to Britain to complete postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Art, London.
Chris Knight's work has been exhibited extensively and features in the collections of Birmingham City Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Shipley Collection and The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths. As Director of Si Applied Ltd, Chris has contributed to a number of public art works within and outside of Sheffield. A recent example is the 'Cutting Edge' installation at Sheffield train station, which was designed by Chris, Brett Payne and Keith Tyssen.
