Wilfred Robinson Barker
Biographical Account: Wilfred Robinson Barker was an amateur geologist from Barnsley.  He trained as a printer's apprentice, eventually becoming a shipping clerk.  He became a member of the Yorkshire Geological Society in 1919, eventually becoming a Fellow.  He lectured around Yorkshire and wrote papers for both the Yorkshire Geological Society and the Yorkshire Naturalists Union.  He would eventually become interested in the formation of glass, and become a local expert on the subject.
