Alex Brogden
Biographical Account:

Alex Brogden was born in Essex and is now based in Sheffield. After completing a year of foundation study in Paris, he attended Middlesex University and the Royal College of Art, London.

Alex has received a number of illustrious prizes during his career, including the Goldsmiths' Company and Crafts Council award for Silver Chasing in 1997. His work is included in a large number of private and public collections, including The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, York Minster, Shipley Art Gallery and The Victoria and Albert Museum.

High profile commissions undertaken by Alex include an altar cross and candlesticks for the York Minster Millennium Silver Collection. Alex also co-designed the Millennium Punchbowl with Keith Tyssen, Chris Knight and Brett Payne. The Punchbowl was sponsored by Sheffield Assay Office and is currently on display in Sheffield's Millennium Galleries.
