Lance Corporal William W Bell
Biographical Account: Lance Corporal William Bell served with the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He had been a member of the Territorials before the war, and was therefore called up for active service when the war started. William died during the Battle of the Somme on 1 July 1916, and is buried at Lonsdale Cemetery near Authuille in France.
