Derek Boshier is a painter, sculptor, photographer and printmaker. He was part of the Pop Art movement in Britain in the 1960s. Boshier included images in his work that are recognisable as everyday consumer products. These included matchboxes, toothpaste tubes and cereal packets.
Boshier attended the Royal College of Art where he met Allen Jones, David Hockney and R. B. Kitaj. In the 1960s and 70s he began to experiment with sculpture, film, books and record covers.
