This is a seven piece EPNS and stainless steel cutlery set called 'Chelsea', manufactured by Viners and designed by Gerald Benney (1930 - 2008). Benney was a renowned silversmith, and from 1957-1969, was Consultant Designer to Viners of Sheffield, designing pieces for silver, pewter and stainless steel production. In 1971 he became a Royal Designer for Industry. His work has had a major impact on the survival of domestic silver in Britain.
