George Fullard has constructed this figure from abstract shapes. The focus here is on the patterns created in two dimensions, rather than an illusion of space or depth. The sweeping lines suggest movement of limbs or costume. Around the face, the abstract shapes suggest either a striking hairstyle or headdress. The title for this work is not known, but it is similar to a drawing of a dancer’s face that is also in Sheffield’s collection.
