This decorative plaque shows the mythical phoenix bird. In legend the hard working but plain phoenix saved the lives of all other birds during a drought. As thanks, the birds gave him their most beautiful feathers.
The phoenix is seen as a symbol of auspiciousness and happiness. At either end of the plaque is a design of grape vines that symbolise a wish for abundance in wealth and sons, that will extend for many generations.Display Location:
