Leonard Beaumont’s linocuts are a sharp contrast to his etchings. They demonstrate his talents as a designer and draughtsman. Beaumont worked as a design consultant for Sainsbury’s for many years. Linocuts were becoming a fashionable medium for artists in the 1920s. Their clean, bold lines enabled artists to create very energetic and powerful prints.
