This pencil drawing is of Gerald Brockhurst’s first wife Anais Melisande Folin. Anais was a French artist and married Brockhurst in 1914. She sat for many of his early portraits. Brockhurst made many portraits of celebrities and royalty, but his main sitters were his family, his wife and also his daughter ‘baba’.
