George Fullard was a great observer and his drawings are dominated by the people and street life he saw around him. This image of a dancing woman illustrates Fullard's interest in fashion. The artist accurately captures the shapes of the 1950s shoes and skirt. Typically, Fullard uses fluid lines, and the work appears to have been created rapidly conveying the energy and movement of the dancer.
