This work was inspired by the boats in the harbour at St Ives. The curved lines represent the boats as they bob about on the sea. Terry Frost moved to St Ives in 1946 searching for inspiration in the Cornish landscape. He has created this work by merging abstract geometric forms with a picturesque coastal view. Frost made a number of paintings of this harbour scene using the same principles and abstract style.
