This is a vase and cover, made in Hyderabad, India, in the late 1800s.
The vase and cover are made of copper, inlaid with silver patterns of caves, figures of caves and flowers. This style of inlaid silver decoration is known as Bidriware. Bidriware is a much prized handicraft in India, associated with wealth and much exported as an example of Indian craft and culture.
