A steelyard weight found in King's Wood, Thurcroft, South Yorkshire, by a metal detectorist. It would have been attached to a steelyard and used to weigh objects. The size of this one indicates that it may have been used on a portable steelyard. It may have been used by a trader to weigh out his goods for sale.
