Romano-British spearhead from the Navio Roman fort at Brough, Derbyshire, built in 73 AD. There is quite a lot of evidence that the Peak District was an important region to the Romans. It is rich in lead which they almost certainly mined. The fort was abandoned in 120 AD but rebuilt a few decades later and remained in use until 300-400 AD.
