Many types of mineral fluoresce when under Ultraviolet light. This specimen of zincite is from Franklin in New Jersey, which is considered to be the fluroescent mineral capital of the world! Although this specimen is mostly made up of zincite, this isn't the mineral that is fluorescing. The green is probably Willemite and the bluey orange most likely Calcite, both of which are usually found with zincite.
