Apteryx owenii
Common Name: Little Spotted Kiwi
Department: Natural History
Accession Number: TZ232
The natural science department has been undertaking an audit for the last few years, creating a computerised catalogue of everything we have. Part of the process is comparing what the Victorian stock books say we have with what we actually have in the cupboards. Unusually, we appear to have one kiwi too many, as the old catalogue suggest we should have 5, but we in fact have 6. Further research is required to work out why.
