A modern Maasai shield with painted leather on wooden frame in red, white and black colours. Shield pattern is divided into two halves by a vertical strip of gemoetric pattern in black and white. Each half has two bands of serrated design in red and black, possibly representing the warrior's identity. On the reverse, there is a leather strap for holding.
