Until the early 1900s, Naga warriors often took their enemies’ heads as trophies. Many Naga objects like such smoking pipe were decorated with images of human heads. The Naga people were known for excellent craftsmanship, particularly woodcarving. However, this is probably a souvenir item.Display Location:
