“Heather Peace is an LGBT singer, actor, radio host and activist. I first encountered her through the lesbian TV series Lip Service on BBC3, which led me to listen to her music and see her live in concert. She inspired me to write my own songs, which I released on an album Stories and Music in 2015. All the proceeds of the album went to Diversity Role Models, a charity that works to raise awareness of LGBT issues in schools, of which Heather is a patron. I performed some of these songs on T’Other Stage at Sheffield Pride in 2016 and 2017, with my wife Jo on bass guitar. I also had the honour of supporting Heather at her gig at her fan club convention in Brighton, an experience I will never forget”.
