The Hippodrome was originally built as a theatre to rival the Empire, but was repurposed as a cinema from 1931. This ticket was for the ‘last ever performance’, Gone with the Wind, in 1963. The Cinema remained open until 1963, when it was demolished to make way for the new Grosvenor House Hotel.
