These platform sandals were bought by Juliette while on holiday in Spain in 1972, when she was a student in Sheffield. Juliette remembers wearing them in 1974 while working in the offices of the River Don Works. She stuck the stars on herself. Although she worked in the offices there are little pieces of metal (swarf) embedded in the soles from the works.
