This is a handkerchief holder made by Painted Fabrics Limited. The pink silk has an orange and yellow flower paint stencil design on each side, with gold braid around the edges. This is part of a group of items collected by Harold Simpson. Harold was injured whilst serving in the army in the First World War, and had to have his right arm amputated. He went to work for the company and was trained iin stencilling and printing.
