This silver chain purse belonged to Miss Katherine Cuff, who grew up on Glossop Road. Her father, Mr Archibald William Cuff, was a successful surgeon and the family were able to employ a governess and servants. In 1925 Katherine married Henry Willey, who was also a doctor. Katherine used this purse for special occasions such as Masonic Lodge Ladies Nights and balls at the Cutlers’ Hall.
