How to Adjust Yourself in Britain was an advice booklet given out by the Ministry of Labour in Jamaica. This copy was given to Mr Basil Robinson before he moved to Britain in 1961, to work for British Railways. It contains suggestions on how to find a job, how to behave once you are in work and how to find accommodation ‘in a strange country thousands of miles away from home… where climate is different, food is strange and way of life a great change from home.’
