This postcard shows the H.M. Hospital ship "Warilda". It was sent by Private Enoch Tennant Jnr during the First World War to his sister Susannah, who was nine years younger. Enoch enlisted in September 1914 with the York and Lancaster regiment, and later the 3rd Battalion Connaught Rangers. His war records show that he served in the Balkans and that he caught and suffered from malaria. Enoch survived the war and as discharged on 31st December 1918.
